My professional interests include evolutionary biology, molecular and morphological evolution, behavioral ecology, and host-parasite interactions including: phylogeography and population genomics, ecology of avian Haemosporidian parasites
I am also interested in specific bird as model organism, Krueper’s Nuthatch. I am head of the MAKU Lab of Ornithology.
We have a simple mission: to understand the evolutionary process and phylogeography of Anatolian birds. Our genbank has more than 3000 speciments, bloods or feathers of 105 species. All the birds were realised after the taken the blood or feather in the chatced area.
