Anatolia has very important biodiversity due to geographic structure and climatic conditions. I try to understand to phylogeography and evolutionary process of the Anatolian birds.
My professional interests include evolutionary biology, molecular and morphological evolution, behavioral ecology, and host-parasite interactions including: phylogeography and population genomics, ecology of avian Haemosporidian parasites. I am also interested in specific bird as model organism, Krueper’s Nuthatch. I am head of the Zoology Department and Lab of Ornithology at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. I married with two sons, Kuzey and Deniz
